Game Preview: Predators vs. Thrashers

The Nashville Predators play their third and final preseason home game at Bridgestone Arena tonight. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. The Predators will have two preseason games on the road after tonight’s contest. Nashville play in Atlanta on Wednesday and this Sunday in Washington D.C.

Chet Pickard will make his preseason debut in goal for Nashville. The Moncton, New Brunswick native will probably be reassigned to Milwaukee since Mark Dekanich and Anders Lindback have been playing stellar hockey in the fight to see who will win the job of backing up Pekka Rinne. Rinne will also play tonight.

Tonight, the Predators are fielding a rock solid team with the top six forwards expected to play. Steve Sullivan, Martin Erat, J.P. Dumont, Matthew Lombardi, Patric Hornqvist, Colin Wilson and Sergei Kostitsyn are all in tonight’ lineup.

On defense, returning players Shea Weber, Ryan Suter, Kevin Klein, Francis Bouillon and Cody Franson are in the lineup, as well as first round draft pick Ryan Parent.

A couple former Predators are in the lineup for Atlanta. Chris Mason will be in net and Rich Peverley is also expected to play.

Tickets are still available for tonight’s game.
