This morning the rumor on Twitter was that Predators goalie Pekka Rinne was out with the knee injury. That rumor was confirmed when the Predators organization confirmed that Mark Dekanich had been recalled from Milwaukee.

Then Rinne’s agent confirmed on his Twitter account that “Rinne to miss games due to injury, being examined by Drs. right now.”

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled goaltender Mark Dekanich from Milwaukee (AHL).

This will be the second call-up of the season for Dekanich. He previously backed rookie Anders Lindback. Lindback played three games when Rinne was injured earlier in the season.

Nashville is back in action on Saturday night at Bridgestone Arena when the Carolina Hurricanes take on the Predators for the second time this season. Game time is at 7 pm.
