Nashville Predators forward Patric Hornqvist has been evaluated here in Nashville and the diagnosis is much better than many Preds fans had feared:

Given how bad the injury looked when it happened, this should elicit a huge sigh of relief from Nashville Predators fans. Patric Hornqvist has been a consistent producer since he was first brought to Nashville and had come out with extra determination early in the season, picking up four points (1G-3A) in as many games before being knocked out of the game against Anaheim on Saturday.
Earlier today Sergei Kostitsyn was skating in Hornqvist’s old slot on the second line with David Legwand and Gabriel Bourque. The team hasn’t made a move yet to cover Hornqvist’s absence from the depth chart, either dealing with another team or calling up a player from Milwaukee. There are a number of forwards playing for the Admirals who could get the call, or David Poile could conceivably make a trade of some sort, since the team was already in need of help before the injury to Hornqvist.
