With the waiver process now complete, McGrattan is free to continue playing in Milwaukee. Nashville is also free to recall him is they find a need for him the rest of this season. In years past the Predators would have had to place him on re-entry waivers if they had chosen to call him back up to the big club, but the new collective bargaining agreement did away with that process.

Unfortunately for Brian McGrattan the acquisition of Rich Clune via waivers earlier this season made the big man surplus to requirements. For now it looks like his job will consist of providing protection for future Predators.
