Morning Links

Thanks for checking in with us this morning for Predlines Morning Links. Let’s see what’s happening around the league.

Braden Holtby and Ray Emery are still the hot topic and have reignited the fighting debate around the league, but Allan Muir says this is just an isolated incident and I have to agree. Holtby probably wishes he maintained that pose throughout the whole melee, but, unfortunately for him, he was not that lucky.

Pavel Bure had his number 10 retired in Vancouver on Saturday night. Bure finished his twelve year career with 437 goals, a number of which were highlight worthy. Every time I watch Bure skate it looks he is somehow constantly accelerating.

Adam Foote had his number 52 retired in Colorado, where it joined new Head Coach and former teammate Patrick Roy‘s 33 in the rafters. Foote was not known for being fleet of foot, but he did a lot of other things right. This is a pretty neat video of his last NHL shift.

Once again proving hockey players are the most superstitious athletes around, former Pred fan favorite Scott Hartnell got a haircut to try and jump start his season. Hartnell has no points in his first nine games and is a minus three. His Flyers are only doing slightly better with eight points in thirteen games.
