Predlines Morning Skate - November 23

Welcome to the Predlines Morning Skate – November 23, 2013 edition. Glad you could join us this morning.

What better way to start your Saturday morning then to watch some hockey fights. Former Nashville Predators fan favorite Brian McGrattan is still up to his usual business of bare knuckle ice fighting out in Calgary. He only has three fights this season, but all of them could be up for the fight of the year consideration. The only problem with starting to watch hockey fights on a Saturday morning is figuring out when you should stop.

If you have decided that you don’t really need to stop, then you can check out’s 50 landmark hockey fights. One of my personal favorites at 33 and you will also find former Pred Wade Belak at 20.

The Buffalo Sabres still have not hired a General Manager to replace Darcy Regier. Preds assistant GM Paul Fenton is very interested in the job and David Poile has even reached out on his behalf.

Pekka Rinne is due for an MRI any time now to check on the status of his hip injury. The Preds season still hinges on the timing of his return. talks a bit more about Rinne’s current situtation and asked for our thoughts.

Thanks for stopping by this morning. Check back later for a preview of the Preds game with the Rangers tonight.
