Predlines Morning Skate – November 28

Welcome to the Predlines Morning Skate – November 28, 2013 edition. Glad you could join us this morning.

Happy Thanksgiving. Hopefully you have the day off work, but if not, you are in good company. The Nashville Predators will be working tonight when they take on the Oilers at Bridgestone, make sure you check back later for a preview of the game. The Preds even put together a promotional video to try to get you to head down to the Arena.

With the Holiday season upon us, that means outdoor hockey is coming. All of the teams involved have special uniforms for their outdoor games and some of them are stating to leak out or be released. You can check out the Ottawa Senators Heritage Jersey right here and the Islanders Stadium Series digs here. The Islanders’ ones are pretty sharp if you ask me.

The treatment of Filip Forsberg has been a topic of conversation both in Nashville and around the league. He has struggled to produce in limited ice time and without much, if any, time on the power play. This article looks at how the Sabres treated Mikhail Grigorenko and what mistakes they might have made. It is a cautionary tale and provides a lot of insight into how a top prospect can be put in the best position to succeed.

David Legwand is another Pred who has been a topic of discussion because of his status as a pending free agent this summer. The Hockey News has an article about Legwand in its upcoming issue and you can check out a snippet here. It asks the question of whether or not Legwand will continue his career as a Predator. Who do you guys think the Preds should do with Legwand?

What should the Preds do with David Legwand?
