Nashville Predators general manager David Poile was hit by a puck in the face a couple weeks ago and the damage done was even worse than many realized.
Three surgeries later, Poile said yesterday he does not have sight in his right eye. It’s unclear at this point whether he will be able to regain it.
Here’s the full video of the Predators GM talking with media yesterday on his injury, Team USA and the upcoming NHL trade deadline.
No doubt Poile’s attention will be taken away from the Predators today as he cheers on his other squad: the United States men’s hockey team. In for another absolute battle with Canada, the USA is one step away from the gold medal game in Sochi.
The Predators will play their first game after the Olympic break on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
