FanSided Roundup: Martin St. Louis Wants a Trade

The season has finally resumed and trade talks are on the horizon. Let’s see what other FanSided sites are talking about around the league.

  • Martin St. Louis has reportedly been asking to be traded from the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Bolts captain has been a institution for the team, but now St. Louis has been looking to get out of Florida. What could be the reason? Could it be the Vincent Lecavalier buyout or was it being snubbed on the Olympic team by his general manager? Bolts on the Bay has an emotional perspective from a fan. – Bolts on the Bay
  • Martin Brodeur said he would be willing to be traded if it was for the good of the team. We all laughed at that assumption because the Devils have bent over backward to accomodate Marty’s desires at the teams expense, but now it may look like a real possibility he may be traded. The St. Louis Blues and the New York Islanders are looking at trading for the veteran goalie. Let’s hope he doesn’t go to the division rival. – Bleedin’ Blue
  • The Red Wings have bad news for Henrik Zetterberg. The captain for the Red Wings underwent back surgery and will be out for eight weeks. Will this affect the team’s playoff run? Spoiler alert: It will. – FanSided
