Friday's Predlines Headlines: Predators Finish Road Trip Against Blackhawks

The Predators will look to finish out the 3-game road trip with the maximum six points tonight, but they must do it against the mighty Chicago Blackhawks. Tomorrow, they come back home and face the Blues, who currently have the most points in the NHL. Nashville still has slim odds to make the playoffs, but if the Preds can’t make it past the Blackhawks and Blues this weekend, those dreams are out the door.

  • The Bruins defeated the Coyotes 2-1 at home Thursday night. Zdeno Chara and Jerome Ignlia scored the two goals in the first period and Tuukka Rask made 22 saves in the game. Rask earned first star honors and the Bruins are on top of the East standings. – NHL
  • Speaking of the Bruins, Zdeno Chara appeared in a banned commercial shot in the style of a grind house movie where his slap shot takes the head off a goalie. There are also explosions. I wonder if it was directed by Tarintino…. – Puck Daddy.
  • Stick tap to Nathan Horton for his generosity to police and firefighters. The Blue Jackets forward bought 1,000 tickets to Thursdays game against San Jose and gave them to Columbus policeman and firemen. – Twitter
