VIDEO: Calle Jarnkrok Describes his Shootout Goal

The Nashville Predators fell 5-4 in a shootout to the Colorado Avalanche, but their one tally in the skills competition was an impressive one courtesy of rookie forward Calle Jarnkrok.

The 22-year-old Swedish forward used a backhander in-tight to roof a puck past Avalanche goaltender Seymon Varlamov. A first career shootout goal for Jarnkrok, who also registered his third assist of the season earlier in the game, in just game No. 3 at the NHL level.

The loss was the Predators sixth-straight at home, a skid they will try to end tomorrow against the lowly Buffalo Sabres. If Jarnkrok’s game continues to improve, as it already has over these last three games, don’t be surprised if the youngster is helping even more on the ice tomorrow night. And it might just be enough for Nashville to win.
