The Predators looked great in the first period against the Colorado Avalanche and took an early 2-0 lead, but the Avs came back and won in the shootout. But enough about that loss. It is good to see Calle Jarnkrok is playing well for the Preds and it does give Nashville fans hope for the prospects in the future. It seems like we are always two years from a playoff run, but with Jarnkrok, Jones and Forsberg, we might actually be at that point.
- There was a scary moment in Tuesday’s night’s game between the Capitals and the Kings when Alex Ovechkin and former Predator Jack Hillen collided in the neutral zone in overtime. Ovechkin did seem alright and Hillen managed to get up, but Hillen took the worse end of that hit. – Puck Daddy.
- Think you have had a bad day at work? Windsor Spitfires goalie Dalen Kuchmey had six goals scored on him in a playoff game. He wanted to be taken out, but the coach wasn’t having any of it and kept him in. Two more goals got past the 19-year-old, so he left on his own.
- When the Penguins had a #AskNeal session on Twitter, it went as expected. Flyer fans came out and asked questions about kneeing players in the head and other hockey cheap shots. It didn’t go according to plan for the Penguins organization, but it was a hockey win for some. – Crossing Broad
