In the midst of a four-day break from games, the Nashville Predators are preparing for a contest against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday.
The game holds additional significance than most regular season matchups, because it will be the last time the Predators play against one of the NHL’s greatest forwards, the Ducks Teemu Selanne.
Predators veteran forward Matt Cullen played with Selanne for five seasons and was mentored as a rookie by the 43-year-old Finnish forward. Selanne also received lots of praise from Nashville winger Eric Nystrom who was a rival of the Ducks all-time leading scorer when he was playing for the Dallas Stars.
The Predators (33-32-11) take on the Anaheim Ducks (49-18-8) on Friday at 9:00 p.m. (CST) in the first of two games in consecutive nights.
