Saturday's Predlines Headlines: Nashville Could See Stars

Nashville has been due for for an NHL All-Star Game for a while, and it could happen as soon as 2016, according to The Tennessean. The opening of the Music City Center has opened up a great deal of possibilities for tourism opportunities, and the NHL All-Star Game could be one of those events. This would be a great chance to jumpstart the hockey fan base in the South and show other markets how Nashville is as a sports town. With that in mind, let’s get today’s Predlines Headlines.

  • Nashville will have a late night tonight. At 9:30, the Predators will have a meeting with the Sharks. Somehow last night, the Predators got the offense going against the Ducks, one of the best teams in the league. It’s games like this that frustrate me, because we as fans know what kind of team Nashville can be. However, the results don’t match up. The Predators aren’t going to tank for that last spot in the draft, because the players have to show their worth to this team.
  • Speaking of tanking for last place, with the loss to the Red Wings Friday night, the Buffalo Sabres have clinched last place in the league.
