VIDEO: Predators Unveil Rookie Tournament

Yesterday, the Nashville Predators gave further details on the new ice rinks being built in Antioch, Tennessee.

The facility, on track to be finished in four months, will be called the Ford Ice Center and will feature an NHL rookie tournament this fall.

Predators CEO Jeff Cogen said the Florida Panthers, Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning rookies (along with Nashville) will square off against one another in a tournament prior to training camp this fall.

Later in the press conference, Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton took the stage (4:30 mark of the video) to discuss the new Scott Hamilton Skating Academy and his role at the Ford Ice Center.

More details on the new rinks can be read over at the Nashville Post’s site.
