Did We Have a Peter Laviolette Sighting In Nashville This Week?

As Nashville continues it’s coaching search, a Nashville Predators fan on reddit says he may have a Peter Laviolette spotting in Nashville outside the Bridgestone Arena.

UPDATE: We now have a photo.

As stated multiple times on this site, Predlines fully endorses the hiring of Laviolette. Thomas Willis made his case for the former Philadelphia Flyers coach recently, and I gave my feelings of who I want and who I don’t want as the next Predators coach. Laviolette is the best option to change the culture in Nashville from a defense-first game to a more offensive style of play.

This may seem like a TMZ type story where we make wild speculation, but his appearance in Nashville is more evidence to our suspicions that Peter Laviolette is the frontrunner for the Predators job. He is already coaching the Team USA at the IIHF World Championships and we know that Poile has connections with Team USA.

Seeing Laviolette makes the heart flutter because he seems like he is the obvious choice for the next head coach of Nashville. But seeing him outside the Preds home rink does not necessarily mean he is interviewing for the job. If that is him, it could just mean that he is taking care of Team USA business, but I find that unlikely. This looks like it is part of the coaching search.
