Predlines Headlines: A Bold Prediction and More

We are under the 40-day mark in our countdown to the drop of the puck in Tampa Bay when the Predators face-off against the Lightning in the preseason opener. We’re 39 days away from Predators hockey, people.

In case you missed it, we ranked Colin Wilson’s top three goals from a year ago yesterday here at Predlines.

Here are your Predlines Headlines for today:

Bleacher Report shows no love towards James Neal

Bleacher Report wrote a bold prediction for every NHL team and for the Predators their prediction was that James Neal will have his worst season in his career next year. They predict fewer than 20-goals from the new Predators sniper.

The Predatorial’s preview of Paul Gaustad

Where does Gaustad truly fit on the Predators roster? The 32-year-old center is a face-off specialist and decent fourth-liner, but what about the young forwards in the system, Salomaki, Forsberg, Sissons, Fiala; and what happens when Mike Fisher re-joins the club?

The Tennesseean’s outlook on Gabriel Bourque

I think the 23-year-old forward will have a very good year this year. Most of his time on the ice will probably be on the third-line, and I think Bourque could have a 35+ point season this year; a bit of an optimistic prediction, but it could happen.

The Predators organization continues to spread awareness of ALS

This is such a simple yet amazing thing going on. Dumping a bucket of ice-water on your head to look silly for 10 seconds and spread awareness of ALS; I think that’s worth it. The whole movement of the Ice Bucket Challenge is incredible to watch and is taking the entire NHL by storm.
