Let’s be honest, Nashville Predators fans have way too many things to be thankful for right now. 8 wins in 9 games is something to cheer about.

Things are going way too well considering that associate captain Ryan Ellis hasn’t even played a game. The Predators aren’t sitting on top on the Western Conference, but there’s still nothing that I can find to complain about. I wish I could as I would write many more articles and get more respect from my peers. Nevertheless, here are five moves that shaped the Nashville Predators into what they are today.

Honorable Mention: The Kyle Turris Trade

It’s way too early to decide if the trade that sent Kyle Turris to the Predators, Matt Duchene to the Senators & a bunch of prospects to the Avalanche is in the favor of anybody involved. So far, it’s in the favor of the Predators. Duchene has been ineffective with the Senators. None of the people Colorado acquired has made an impact yet. But Kyle Turris has definitely made an impact with the Nashville Predators. He has restarted the careers of Craig Smith & Kevin Fiala & got the deciding shootout goal Wednesday night against the hated Habs. Turris has bought in, signed long-term and is down with whatever the Nashville Predators want to do. This did not happen in the past. Hockey players were afraid of going south of the Mason-Dixon Line and playing for Nashville. Now, everybody sees the excitement and wants in. It’s a glorious time.
