Nashville Predators Score Big in EA SPORTS NHL 16

The Nashville Predators are getting noticed all over the hockey world and that includes gaming systems.  EA SPORTS is getting ready to release NHL 16 and they have announced some of their Top 10 lists at each position.  The Predators are well represented.

This past weekend they released their lists of the Top Goaltenders and Defensemen.  Pekka Rinne came in tied with Tuukka Rask for fourth with a 92 rating, up from a 91 a year ago.  The top three in that list is Carey Price (94),  Henrik Lundqvist and Jonathan Quick both with a 93 rating. Braden Holtby (91), Sergei Bobrovsky (90), and Cory Schneider (90) are the remaining goaltenders with a rating above 90. Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov has an 89 rating that was good enough for ninth place and Anaheim Ducks’ starting goaltender, Frederik Andersen (89) was selected to round out the top 10.

On the defensive side, the big news is that not only is Captain Shea Weber the number one overall defenseman but we have two of the Top Ten with Roman Josi sliding in at number nine with a 90 rating.  Weber leads the pack with an impressive 94 rating. It doesn’t look as if the gaming world believes any talk that his skills might be declining.

Weber is followed in the ratings by Duncan Keith, Drew Doughty and ex-Predator Ryan Suter, all with a rating of 93.  They are followed by reigning Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson, P.K. Subban and Victor Hedman with 91’s.  That leaves Ryan McDonagh, Josi and Alex Pietrangelo to round out the last three spots on the list.
