1. The Pittsburgh Penguins

Oh great, another dynasty… Seriously the Pittsburgh Penguins look ready for a three-peat. Their top six is still loaded even though they lost Nick Bonino on the third line. They have the best player in the NHL, Sidney Crosby. They have a top five center in the NHL, Evgeni Malkin. They have a top ten winger in the NHL, Phil Kessel. And they have a top ten goalie in the league (bold claim, I know), Matt Murray. The defense looks better as Kris Letang, Olli Maatta, Justin Schultz, and Derrick Pouliot will be healthy and ready to play. The young guys keep coming out of the woodwork as Jake Guentzel and Daniel Sprong will look to make an impact in their first full seasons.

The Nashville Predators should fear the Penguins for obvious reasons. Their offensive firepower is top five in the league. Their defense is above average with a serious Norris candidate in Kris Letang. And excellent goaltending in Matt Murray. The Predators will have to get average goaltending and great defense in order to slow the Penguins down. If there is average goaltending on both sides, then this series would be epic.
