Music sensation Carrie Underwood is known to be a fan of the Nashville Predators. Today, she released a music video featuring the team in spots.

There have been some great tandems in the world of sports. Jordan and Pippen. Ali and Frazier. Manning and Harrison. Montana and Rice. Rizzo and Bryant. Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier. Each of these duos personifies greatness in their own ways. The Nashville Predators are building a few quality duos as well. Ryan Johansen and Filip Forsberg are certainly on their way. But, no couple screams Predators like Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher.

Today is proving to be a big day for the couple. The Predators announced that Fisher will make his awaited return to the lineup tonight against the Vancouver Canucks. And, in what could be a genius marketing move, Carrie Underwood released the official music video to her latest single, “The Champion.” The song was featured as part of the Super Bowl and Winter Olympics, but now can be enjoyed in its entirety. Carrie also collaborates with Ludacris, another great duo. Take a look.

Sports anthems are nothing new. You have “One Shining Moment” that gets performed at the end of March Madness. Fall Out Boys “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark” was popular entrance music for teams everywhere. And, of course, the king of all is “We are the Champions,” by Queen. Still, Carrie’s latest song will be used and celebrated in arena’s everywhere.

The video captures hard-working people from around the world. Kids struggling with illness. Soldiers and police officers. Martin Luther King. Athletics training for their moment to shine. It certainly provides inspiration.

But, what would a sports anthem from Carrie Underwood be without a few Predators clips? They are included, too. My favorite is Viktor Arvidsson‘s celebration.
