Nashville Visits Tavares & the Maple Leafs on January 7th

I think just about every fan has the first time their team plays the Maple Leafs circled on their calendar; I’m no different. With how big of a deal John Tavares‘ free agency was this summer, it’s natural. The Toronto Maple Leafs have incredibly high expectation this upcoming season. Adding Tavares to an already talented, young roster of Auston Matthews, William Nylander, and Mitch Marner makes the Leafs incredibly scary on paper.

The first time the Predators will face Tavares and the Leafs will be on January 7th in Toronto. By that mid-point of the season, the Predators will know what to expect with Toronto. Are they for real? Are they even better than expected? We’ll have a much clearer picture come puck drop of this game. Another reason to watch is because it is the first time we’re seeing John Tavares play in a large hockey market with other star players. I’m excited to see that and to see how the Predators stack up against them.

Let me know in the comments below which games you’re looking forward to the most.
