Preds stomp the Islanders
When the Nashville Predators played the New York Islanders in mid-December it came at a point when the team was starting to fade badly. The questions of if this team could pull itself out of rock bottom were starting to swirl
This game would top the list as one of the most dominant games that the Predators have had this season scoring seven unanswered goals beginning near the midway point of regulation. That’s just simply hard to believe.
The Islanders had already scored three unanswered goals of their own to go up 3-1. This felt like another game that the Predators were just outmatched for, and then the unthinkable happened.

With former Head Coach Peter Laviolette still in charge at this point, this type of game reminded me of how dominant they Predators could be in the offensive zone. However, the Predators were also very weak defensively and a lot of times had to erupt in a big way offensively to win.
Mark this as one of those games when the Predators absolutely had everything clicking offensively, and showed everyone what they’re capable of.
