The top game of the year and win of the year came right when the Predators were riding a two-game winning streak and starting to find their groove

Then Calgary came and laid the hammer down. Well, they almost did.

Juuse Saros was in net and was starting to seize control of the starting role. He had 36 saves on 39 shots to give the Predators a strong chance to win.

Colton Sissons got the scoring started right before the first period came to a close and the Predators held the slim lead. The Flames would respond quickly into the 2nd period to tie it back up.

The Flames would take control in this game as the Predators offense wasn’t generating much. Then Roman Josi scored lived up to his captain title and tied the game back up as the third period was getting towards the final minutes.

Calgary would quickly take the lead back with less than a minute left in regulation, and many fans were probably heading to the exits to beat traffic. That’s when the Predators refused to give up and Mikael Granlund scored the game-tying goal with literally less than a second on the clock.

Bridgestone Arena went insane and it suddenly felt like a playoff game of how loud it was after the review was confirmed to be a good goal.

It didn’t take long for Granlund to put it away for the Predators in overtime, and the a much-needed two points were taken as the playoff race was heating up. The Predators quickly went from getting no points to two points in the standings.
