The Nashville Predators SHOULDN’T Give Away The Farm For Eichel

The Predators struggle to score goals. It’s just a fact. They are still searching for an elite forward, and it would be nice to have a player of Jack Eichel’s caliber, but the price will probably be way too high.

Unless Poile can pull off some kind of miracle, the Buffalo Sabres will want a lot in trade for Eichel. Would it be nice to have the much-need scoring that Eichel could provide? Absolutely.

But trading several key players, prospects, or draft picks for one player that may or may not work out in the long run may prove to be a misstep that Poile can’t afford to make. The Predators have been in that situation before and can’t afford another high-paid player who doesn’t perform.

On the other hand, having an elite forward on the roster would be pretty cool to see next Fall. It is easy to see why a General Manager in the NHL has such a tough job.
