Tanner Jeannot

2020-21 Stats: 15 games, 5 goals, 2 assists, 2 PIM, 21.7 shooting %, 12:08 ATOI, 53 hits

This is an easy one to add to this list of potential breakout players on the Nashville Predators. Tanner Jeannot almost instantly became a fan-favorite after the youth injection happened this past season.

Jeannot plays like a wrecking ball. He never seems to let up and always plays with that chip on his shoulder. A playing style that this entire Predators team is going to need to play with this upcoming season.

What I love most about Jeannot is how hard of a worker he is. He’s an undrafted free agent that’s finally getting his NHL opportunity at 24-year-old. He spent a lot of time in the WHL with the Moose Jaw Warriors before the Predators signed him.

It’s not a stretch of the imagination for me to expect Jeannot to easily set some impressive career highs this season in all major statistical categories including points, time on ice, hits and games played. He’s going to be an important everyday player for the Predators’ bottom six.

Who knows, he might even ascend up the starting lineup if others struggle badly. Excited to see him grow into an everyday NHL player in 2021-22.
