Filip Forsberg: High Risk, High Reward

I’m really not sure how to feel about Filip Forsberg’s season outlook. The injury complicated things, but he’s been back for three games, including two Predators losses, and instantly made an impact.

Forsberg scored two goals in his return to the ice against the Golden Knights, and tacked on an assist in each of the other two games against the Devils and Avalanche. His point efficiency remains, and now you just have to hope he can stay healthy for the duration of the season.

There’s a lot of talks swirling around that Forsberg might be traded, but quite frankly I don’t see that happening unless the Predators go through a major losing stretch and the season outlook gets really dim.

Forsberg’s stock is holding steady, but I don’t think it can get any higher. However, it could definitely go down if the Nashville Predators hit a losing slump and come back down to their initial preseason expectations of being a non-playoff team.
