Nashville Predators vs. Seattle Kraken: Date, Time, Betting Odds, Streaming
It’s the 2023-24 home-opener for the Nashville Predators, and it’s a clash with the Seattle Kraken that features two teams looking to avenge losses on Tuesday.
The Predators went toe-to-toe with the Tampa Bay Lightning in a mammoth road atmosphere in the Sunshine State, with the Predators being undone by penalties in the third period.
The Kraken took one on the chin to the defending Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights. losing 4-1 while still managing to outshoot Vegas 33-28.
The question for the Nashville Predators is will they tinker with their lineup at all, or moveds forward with what they employed against the Lightning? The offense found it’s footing after a shaky first period, but you’re definitely looking for more even strength hockey and less time killing penalties.
Injury Report
Currently the Predators have no injuries listed for tonight’s game against the Kraken.
The Kraken have listed Brandon Tanev as Day-to-Day with an undisclosed upper body injury. Unclear if he’ll be available against the Predators.
Players to Watch
I’m looking for Filip Forsberg to finally finish on his scoring chances and get a goal. He did tally two assists against the Lightning in the 5-3 loss, while also leading the team in Expected Goals and registering six shots on goal.
Also have my eye on Roman Josi to have a bigger impact on the game after being held off the scoresheet against the Lightning and taking two minor penalties.
On the Kraken side, who else would we be most closely watching than Eeli Tolvanen? He scored a power play goal against the Predators last season after being placed on waivers and being wisely claimed by Seattle.
Date & Time for Seattle Kraken @ Nashville Predators
It’s a 7 P.M. local start time for the Nashville Predators as they welcome the amazing fans of Smashville back home to Bridgestone Arena for 2023-24.
The Predators are trying to recapture that reputations of being one of the toughest places for a road team to play at in the NHL. Last season the Predators had a 22-15-4 record at Bridgestone Arena, while the Kraken had an impressive road record of 26-11-4.
Unfortunately the Predators will forever have the achievement in NHL history of being the Kraken’s first win in their franchise history. A 4-3 win over the Predators on October 14, 2021 in Nashville.
