Finally a winning streak! The Predators are finally out of first gear and have showed just how hot. their engines can rev.  The first quarter of the season has gone by, and we’re starting to see the Nashville Predators team we’ve been excited for since training camp.

The Predators have now gotten their win streak to six games after defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins in overtime on Tuesday on the game-winner from Filip Forsberg.

Whose Scoring Next?

During this six-game winning steak, the Predators have had 13 different goal scorers account for their 26 goals. The balanced contributions have started to come in wave after wave, with forwards and defensemen contributing.

Michael McCarron scored twice in the first period against the Penguins. The Predators have 18 different players who have scored at least one goal in the first 21 games to bring the win-loss record to 11-10-0.

So far 24 players have suited up for the Predators this season. As of right now, 23 of them have recorded at least a point. The only one who hasn’t is Luke Schenn, who hasn’t played since the first game of the season and has just returned to the starting lineup.

It is coming from everywhere right now, which is great. Right now 16 players have at least five points or more.

All Aboard the Trenin Train

The winning streak has been a great time for Yakov Trenin. He’s got five points on the year, and they’ve all come during a four-game stretch in wins over Chicago, St. Loius, Colorado and Winnipeg.

Trenin has broken out of a long drought and it has been incredibly exciting to see. As the bottom six continues to produce (Colton Sissons also has four points over the winning streak and Cole Smith has five) it is making the Predators deadly on every line, which has put tons of pressure on opposing defenses.
