Brazeau Adds Young Physicality to an Aging Forward Core

At 27, Justin Brazeau would be one of the youngest wingers for Nashville. The undrafted forward would gladly slot in the bottom 6 alongside the Erik Haula and Michael McCarron. He had 22 points in 76 games this season split between the Boston Bruins and the Minnesota Wild. The season prior saw his breakout, scoring 10 goals and posting 10 assists in 57 games.
In Nashville, Brazeau would see increase in ice time on their special team's unit. He's an absolute unit on the ice, towering over opponents with his 6'5", 220 lbs frame. He gained recognition across the league for his physical presence and his constant urge to forecheck the puck. With the Predators seemingly getting more physical by the day—especially after drafting Brady Martin—Brazeau would fit right in.
He is likely looking for a bridge deal with his next club. He signed a 2-year, $1.55M contract with Boston to prove himself as a reliable grinder and prove himself he did. If he were to sign with Nashville, expect him to sign a 3-4 yearlong contract in the $1.3M-$2.5M range. Signing him wouldn't necessarily be an issue for Nashville but it again would cause more pressure in the forward lineup. He would likely replace McCarron or Smith if he becomes a staple of the team.
