Filip Forsberg holds the "Batman" role for Nashville Predators, but who is "Robin"?

Every NHL team has their "Batman", but do the Nashville Predators have a Robin ready to be Filip Forsberg's sidekick?

Ryan O'Reilly

"The Factor" is expected to hold down the top line center role again for Nashville in 2025-26 at the ripe age of 34. Not ideal, but we do know there is chemistry there between himself and Forsberg. This, along with really have no other better options, is why it makes logical sense to keep these two together on the top line for now.

The question is are we about to see O'Reilly's age catch up to him? Will he be able to keep up his power play presence and ability to score those greasy goals in close off deflections and rebounds?

The grit that O'Reilly plays with tells me that he could have one more year in him to do some very awesome things on a line with Forsberg. In a down year for virtually everyone on the Predators, except for Forsberg, O'Reilly still managed a 50-plus point season and only missed three regular season games.

I can see O'Reilly breaking 50 points again this season, but I can't put his ceiling much higher than that. My measuring stick for him will be can he be a catalyst for a Predators power play that is top half in the league and an actual strength. It was way too inconsistent last season.
