The Top-100 on Nashville Predators All-Time Points List
Cole Smith: 52 Points (17 Goals, 35 Assists) 77th All Time
Against all odds, the undrafted Smith has made himself into a useful bottom-six NHL regular. He'll have to fight hard to keep his spot and his ice time this year with the team in flux, but every time he is on the ice, you know the effort will be there.
With 15 more points, which is doable, he's right up there with Sebastien Bordeleau
Steven Stamkos: 53 Points (27 Goals, 26 Assists) 76th All Time
In just one season, Stamkos annihilated more than half of the list. He showed that he's still a very good player, but the team's struggles probably hampered him overall. He also had an adjustment in switching to a new system, so in year 2, we can probably expect the ups and downs to be less dramatic.
A 65-point season should be an appropriate expectation. That brings him to 118 Predators points, just edging Tommy Novak's career and putting him within the top 40.
Michael McCarron: 54 Points (26 Goals, 28 Assists) 75h All Time
After finishing the season tied with Marcel Goc, McCarron is ready to move even higher up the list. He's a surpsingly efficeient shooter, but he's deployed more as a defensive faceoff specialist and fighter. After making Team USA for the World Championships and winning gold, this could be McCarron's coming-out party.
His career high-water mark is 22 points. If he's able to match that, he's right up there with Austin Watson and Gabriel Bourque.
Jonathan Marchessault: 56 Points (21 Goals, 35 Assists) 70th All Time
He's been subject to some trade speculation, but as of right now Marchessault will continue his assault on the Predators' scoring ranks this year. Yes, the pun was lazy. This is a long list.
Marchy proved he's going to get his, whether the team is good or bad. If they're good, he might even outpace last year's 56 points. Based on his previous numbers, he should end up somewhere in the same neighborhood as Steven Stamkos.
Luke Evangelista: 86 Points (33 Goals 53 Assists) 50th All Time
It might be hard to believe, but yes, Evangelista is already in the top 50 all-time in Predators scoring history. In just two and a half seasons of fairly consistent hockey, he's knocking of the door of some team legends. He's got even more offensive in the tank than he's shown so far, but the team has to be better if he's going to reach his ceiling. He also really needs to sign a contract.
This should be the year he eclipses the 40-point plateau. If we put him at 45, his total would see him overtake PK Subban.
Ryan O'Reilly: 122 Points (47 Goals, 75 Assists) 36th All Time
In just two seasons, O'Reilly has vaulted up the leaderboard and has played up to his contract. He's important all over the ice as a team leader, but he's also going to be a big driver for the offense.
He should be a shoo-in for a 60-point season if he's healthy and the team gets out of the basement. If he's sitting at 182 points by the end of the year, he'll be between Marek Zidlicky and Matt Duchene.
