Through 11 games and after an important five-game homestand, the Nashville Predators are just kind of hanging around in the mediocre and painfully average middle portion of the NHL with an overall record of 4-5-2 (10 points, 6th in Central Division).
The homestand is important to see if the Predators could create some momentum and stack some wins, something they very rarely did last season when they cratered their season on the way to 68 points. They're narrowly ahead of their point pace from last season.
At this current point pace, the Predators are on track to finish with 74.5 points. That is still a finish worthy of another lottery pick and one that would probably send Head Coach Andrew Brunette packing.
Here are my early season grades for each position group, some of the players in each group, and also grades on special teams.
