The Nashville Predators have gotten back to their winning ways after narrowly getting by the last place Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 in their first shootout of 2023-24.

It was a perfect shootout for the Predators with goals from Gustav Nyquist, Ryan O'Reilly and Filip Forsberg to ultimately get the extra point in the standings and move the team above .500 with a 13-12-0 record.

Connor Bedard also connected in the shootout, but was mainly held in check in regulation and overtime.

This wasn't what you would call a glamorous win for the Predators. They left a lot out there to be desired, including some really bad defensive breakdowns to allow the Blackhawks to hang around in the game.

Even so, a win is a win as they say. And it's another win over a division opponent, leaving the Nashville Predators right in the thick of the Central Division race. Let's take a look at the three biggest difference-makers in this win.
