As the calendar turns towards 2026, the Nashville Predators are finding their rhythm as a team, and are seemingly in the thick of a playoff race for the Wild Card in the Western Conference. Who would've thought? Not me.
Now we're looking at one half of a season (with a nice Olympic break) that effectively turns into a sprint to the playoffs. The Predators will begin that just three points out of the playoffs.
General Manager Barry Trotz is going to have to make a couple of calls as to whether or not his team is pushing for the playoffs, or trying to move and consolidate assets.
That will ultimately be determined by the players on the ice, and we believe that these players are going to be the key for that.
