If you told me right after the draft that today I think Brady Martin is the most likely prospect to make the cut out of camp, I would've laughed at you. I've changed my opinions a lot on Martin since then and I think he's going to be one of Nashville's future greats.

Martin is the physical definition of hockey. For starters, he can score beautiful goals and set up crazy plays. He had a 33-goal, 72-point season on a 29-win Soo Greyhounds squad. When he's not playing the puck, he's playing with the body. He's a freight train on skates and not many hockey players would want a 6'0", 187lb. brick wall coming straight for them. At the Draft Combine, Martin impressed many with the amount of muscle he put on, especially as an 18-year-old.

Outside of hockey, he's a country boy at his roots. He grew up on a cattle farm in Ontario and knows a thing or two about living the country life. He'll fit in perfectly in Smashville where the only thing brighter than the lights on Broadway is the moon in the night sky.

Martin recently inked his entry-level contract with the Predators a week ago and is ready to take the next step in his anticipating career. With him playing center—a position Nashville's desperately needed talent in—he'll be able to squeak in and find some good playing time with this cultural shift in the lineup.
