Jarome Iginla would be an interesting addition to the third line and power play

Once a top ten player in the NHL, Jarome Iginla‘s age has finally caught up to him. The 40-year-old power forward has lost quite a few steps but his shot is as lethal as ever. He probably will not put up 25 points, but his veteran leadership and power play presence might help the Nashville Predators. Iginla could easily fill in for Ellis on the power play while Ellis is away due to injury.

Iginla is clearly chasing a cup, and the Nashville Predators look like a contender. He’d most likely take a one year deal for around one million dollars. I would worry about his decline because there’s a chance he might not even be good for 20 points this season. The Predators better do their homework on him.
