We have to get our Nashville Predators fix somehow through all of this, and Fox Sports Tennessee will be giving us that twice a week.

With the Nashville Predators season on an indefinite pause for the foreseeable future, it’s been hard to come to grips with the possibility of an incomplete 2019-20 season.

The Predators were surging at the right time when things came to an abrupt stoppage for virtually the entire sports world, sports networks are having to scramble to find daily content.

The local television affiliate that broadcasts Predators games is Fox Sports Tennessee, and they have an outstanding crew led by Will Daunic, Chris Mason, Lynsday Rowley and Terry Crisp.

The entire crew all do an outstanding job bringing Predators live games and content to fans in the Middle Tennessee region throughout the season, and it’s going to be great to have them back on the airwaves again, even if it’s reruns.

In an awesome announcement, the network will be showing some of the best games of the 2019-20 season to give us our hockey fix to some degree at least:

This is a really smart idea from the network as fans just want an escape, even for just a couple hours, from the everyday news surrounding the coronavirus. What better way than to revisit some of the best Predators games of this season?

If they can pull it off, I’d go even a step further and go deep into the archive and show classic games. I’m not sure if that’s possible, but that would be really cool, nostalgic and be appointment viewing for a lot of fans.

It’s still very uncertain how long this NHL pause will last, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended no gatherings of 50 or more people for the next weeks, announced just a couple days ago.

This is of course a complex situation that seems to change by the day, and even the hour. But realistically speaking, I don’t see the NHL returning to action until late in the summer.

What Fox Sports Tennessee is doing by airing some of the best games of the 2019-20 season will be refreshing to see, at least from my standpoint.

We’ll also get to dissect games even further and learn some of new trends or things that were working well for the team in the games they won. I’ll take Predators hockey any way I can get it at this point.

It’ll be interesting to see which games they select, but I’d expect some of them to be from our personal list of wildest games of the 2019-20 season, including Pekka Rinne‘s’ goal against the Blackhawks.

I’m assuming these are all going to be Predators wins, so please don’t show me the Colorado nightmare, or the late choke job against Calgary on Halloween night.

In all seriousness, chalk this up as some good news during a time when we all need it. It begins this Thursday night.
