The resumption of the NHL season may be coming in July, but for now we have to dig deep to stay connected with the Nashville Predators during the pause.
Many look to social media to fill that hole that’s missing in their current sports lives. We’re checking in on some of our favorite Nashville Predators players and the team to see what they have been up to this week.
Until we get back to some sense of normalcy in the sports world, we’ll be following the team and players on the team closely to see how they’re passing the time and staying ready to go if and when the season continues.
In this weeks’ check-in with the Nashville Predators, we are reminded of how critical professional sports teams are in giving back to their local communities when trying times occur.
Nashville Predators Help Feed Healthcare Workers
On Wednesday, the Predators teamed up with Feed The Front Line to help provide meals to healthcare workers in the area. The two organizations worked with local restaurants to not only provide meals but to help the restaurants stay in business as well.

This is what being a professional athlete and sports organization is all about in the grand scheme of things. Giving back to those fans and communities that support you throughout the year.
The Predators have really stood up in a big way to help out the Nashville and surrounding areas during the COVID-19 pandemic and the tornadoes that hit in early March.
Pekka Rinne With A Message To Healthcare Workers
Pekka Rinne has teamed up with Roman Josi, Matt Duchene, and Ryan Johansen to provide free coffee for healthcare professionals. This message and others like it show just how much all healthcare workers are appreciated, not only by Rinne and the team but by everyone.
To all healthcare workers, Peks has a message for you!

What an inspiring message from one of the best in the business.
Rocco Grimaldi Offers Some Encouraging Words
On Thursday, Rocco Grimaldi participated in a Facebook live chat with local media.
In the interview, Grimaldi discussed a wide range of topics, including how he is staying in shape, reading the entire Bible in 23 days, and rollerblading. He also gave everyone a perfect message about having hope and staying positive.
"The sun is rising. It's just over the hill, and I know you can't see it right now as it goes away, but the sun's rising. Just keep the faith."

It’s been a big year in Nashville both on and off the ice for Grimaldi. He had his most productive NHL season of his career and was rewarded with a well-deserved contract extension in February. He’s easily a fan-favorite and is showing us why.
Relive Nashville’s 2017 Stanley Cup Run
Beginning on April 28, Fox Sports Tennessee will begin replaying pivotal Nashville Predators games from their 2017 Stanley Cup playoff run.
At the beginning of some of the games, broadcasters Willy Daunic and Chris Mason, as well as some Predators players, will provide memorable moments from each series.

A lot of fans, including us at Predlines, have been clamoring for this to happen since the pause went into effect. Now they’re delivering and it will be appointment viewing for Predators fans.
And Finally…A Bit Of Trivia
Do you know which NHL goalie recorded the most shutouts during this past decade? The answer is Pekka Rinne with 49. Los Angeles goalie Jonathan Quick was a close second with 47. Boston’s Tuukka Rask and Jaroslav Halak both had 45 shutouts apiece.
When it came to the last decade, nobody posted more shutouts than Pekka Rinne of the @PredsNHL. #AskNHL https://t.co/UWMNU8h3tg pic.twitter.com/8HhrnyMbvn

It’s good to see how the Nashville Predators are helping out their community during this trying time. It is also good that we can continue to follow our favorite teams on social media to help provide some form of comfort and normalcy.
