We’re all looking forward to a time when hockey resumes, but for now, we have to dig deep to stay connected with the Nashville Predators during the pause.
Many look to social media to fill that hole that’s missing in their current sports lives. We’re checking in on some of our favorite Nashville Predators players and the team to see what they have been up to this week.
Until we get back to some sense of normalcy in the sports world, we’ll be following the team and players closely to see how they’re passing the time and staying ready to go if and when the season continues.
In this weeks’ check-in with the Predators, we are taking a look at some of the fun things that happened this week.
Make A Wish Turns 40
This week @MakeAWishMidTN celebrated the 40th birthday of the Make A Wish Foundation. The Nashville Predators have been long-time partners with the organization. Thank you, Predators, and Make A Wish, for helping make these dreams come true.
Shoutout to our friends @MakeAWishMidTN as they celebrate 40 years of granting wishes and changing lives! We are so grateful to continue to partner with you to grant Preds wishes for very deserving kiddos 💛 pic.twitter.com/6luNYJKNe4

Something For The Kids
The NHL is offering a free, online program for children called Future Goals. The program features two online resources—Hockey Scholar, geared towards middle school-aged children, and Healthier Me for elementary school-aged children. Check out the link below.

Something For Everyone
On Thursday, the Predators announced a new program in cooperation with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee that aims to get everyone active.
Move With Us is a month-long program that allows participants an opportunity to pick Predator-themed activity goals. A great way to build new fans and connect with the team while the season is paused.
There are four different player-themed activity levels. Sign up at the link below.

Checking In With Pekka Rinne
On Monday, Pekka Rinne took part in a Facebook Live interview with local media. He discussed many topics including, his dog, healthy meals, and his positive outlook on the time he has left in the NHL.
Rinne also discussed staying in Nashville during the COVID-19 pandemic and the resiliency of the Nashville community. He’s sporting a cool new ‘stache. Maybe that’s for a pending deep playoff run later this summer? We can only hope.
Check out the link below.
"It's always fun to go to the rink and see the boys, but just the feeling of being in it together and working toward a common goal, that's an amazing thing."

Kyle Turris, Top Chef?
Kyle Turris posted a video highlighting his cooking skills. The bad part is we aren’t 100 percent sure Turris knows what he’s doing.
Everything started well, as he was following the directions perfectly. Then out of nowhere, he added ketchup. What the what?
"Kyle, you are Top Chef."

During these trying times, it is good that we can continue to follow our favorite teams on social media to help provide some form of comfort and normalcy.
Whenever the Nashville Predators and their thousands of fans can return to Bridgestone Arena it will be truly something to witness. Sports brings us all together, and the Predators will bring the Nashville community back together in an extraordinary way when hockey returns to Lower Broadway.
