The Nashville Predators enter Saturday afternoon's game on a three-game winning streak, and there aren't many teams who will have such a run against the same quality of opponents this entire season. After defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning in a shootout last weekend, the Predators followed it up with a big win over the Carolina Hurricanes and an overtime victory over the Colorado Avalanche.
There were some notable moments this week, as the Predators acquired Shane Wright from the Seattle Kraken, who performed well in his first two games. We also saw Vitali Pinchuk's first-career goal, which was one of the nicer ones you'll see with a backhand beauty against the Avalanche.
The Predators look to continue their run of form with a big Central Division showdown against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday.
Jonathan Marchessault's injury status
Marchessault has been out of the Predators' lineup over the last two games with a lingering lower-body injury that has been labeled day-to-day. With the way Nashville has played in his absence, it allows the former Stanley Cup Champion some time to get back to full health.
Marchessault wasn't overly effective in his six games before the injury, tallying just two assists. His last goal came on October 17 against the same Blues they'll play on Saturday afternoon, and he has just two goals all season.
Nicolas Hague's consecutive healthy scratches
Nicolas Hague has been out of the Predators lineup since last Saturday, which directly coincides with the team's three-game winning streak against some of the league's best teams. Hague doesn't want to see his teammates lose, but seeing them have so much success since he left the lineup can't sit well with the veteran blueliner.
The Predators have been adamant that he is still part of their plans moving forward, but until the team falters, it's difficult to see Andrew Brunette messing with a winning lineup.
Predators unveil Hometown Remix jerseys
The NHL has a new uniform program this season, which allows every team to tap into their city's culture with a new set of jerseys. Nashville did this best of almost every team, as the jerseys represent the country music scene in the city that is alive and well just outside Bridgestone Arena.
The Predators will debut their new uniforms on Saturday afternoon against the Blues, allowing fans the chance to see the country music-inspired duds before heading to Broadway for a night of tunes.
