The NHL's Hometown Remix uniform rollout is meant to be a fun way to represent the cities the teams represent. It's essentially the NHL's version of MLB's City Connect and the NBA's City Edition programs. While some may call it just a way to sell more merchandise, there is a certain section of the fanbase, notably the next generation of Nashville Predators fans, who might be excited by the chance to see their favorite players in a different look.

Recent equipment leaks suggest a different look, as the Predators wore navy helmets and navy pants with yellow stars down the side at practices to break in the new gear. It's the first time Nashville will wear navy helmets since the 2015-16 season, aside from their one-and-done Stadium Series uniform in 2022.
The Predators have leaned heavily into their gold look, but this new navy uniform offers a welcome change, which fans could appreciate. It also ties the team to the city in a way that the "Predators" moniker doesn't, as it bleeds into the country music scene. While other teams missed the mark, Nashville might've done one of the best jobs of truly connecting the uniform to the city and making it a "Hometown Remix".

"i kinda just wish we used a different logo. other than that i’m a fan of the navy with gold aesthetics," said BrewTooth Cay.
"I wish it had more white, but it’s kinda fun. I like the design in the numbers and logo," said MattyIce.
The Predators will also add one more special touch to their new uniform rollout: they'll honor Dolly Parton with a special-edition patch on a select night. One of the 10 options they'll have is:

• Nov. 21 vs. Pittsburgh
• Nov. 25 at Dallas
• Dec. 5 vs. Columbus
• Dec. 26 vs. Detroit
• Jan. 23 vs. Los Angeles
• Feb. 13 vs. Anaheim
• Feb. 27 vs. Los Angeles
• March 6 vs. Minnesota
• March 20 vs. Boston
The uniforms they wear on Dolly's night will be auctioned off through the Preds Foundation, and proceeds will benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library – through the Governor's Early Literacy Foundation.
The Predators really knocked it out of the park with this entire rollout, and it could be a uniform we see stick around in the regular rotation.
